Richard Blais Budget Surf & Turf Recipe
Doctor Oz invited Richard Blais to show everyone how you can make a few swaps and live like a millionaire without breaking your budget. Surf and Turf dinner at a five star restaurant could run you over $150 per person. In his budget version, Richard uses Hangers Steak in place of Filet Mignon and more affordable Shrimp instead of Lobster.
He even created Eggplant Caviar to substitute for real Caviar. Eggplant probably tastes better anyway, and the total cost per person for this cost conscious recipe is around $8, an astronomical savings.
