Dr Oz: Kathy Freston 30 Day Diet Plan
Do you want the secret to Reshaping Your Body in just one month? Dr. Oz invited Kathy Freston, an author and fitness expert, to share her new plan to get in shape the natural way in just four weeks.
Here are some of the things Kathy Freston suggested to get on track to that beach body, just in time for what could be an early summer.
Doctor Oz: Reshape Your Body
Kathy Freston’s latest book is called The Lean, and she visited Dr Oz to talk about how you can change your eating habits and thoughts to give yourself a new body in as little as one month.
Changing your eating habits will also change your cravings, and you’ll be adding in delicious, healthy options that can boost your energy as well.
She said her strategy for people is to have them decide on their goals, and begin to “lean into it.” Perfection is not the goal. Instead, focus on inward progress and you will start dropping pounds, according to Kathy Freston.

Dr Oz: Kathy Freston Breakfast
For the first week of her plan, Kathy focused on breakfast, recommending a simple meal combining two cups of brown rice with some chopped dates and walnuts, plus some agave nectar. You can add milk or butter if you’re not doing the vegan version of her program.

She also said you should drink two cups of water before each meal, because studies found that doing this helps people lose five more pounds of fat compared to people who didn’t drink water first.
Dr Oz: Power Walking
As you begin a second week of changing your thoughts and eating habits, Kathy suggested adding a multivitamin to your regimen. She said you can power walk, starting by doing 10 minutes and slowly building up to a longer time.
Using this strategy, she said it’s easy to quickly get up to 150 minutes over one week. Kathy noted that you’ll begin to notice that you have more energy after the second week, and pounds will start to come off.
Dr Oz: Kathy Freston Tempeh & Seitan
One reason why Kathy Freston is such an advocate for going Vegan is that all meats, even leaner meats, are heavy sources of fat and calories, in addition to the protein we need.
That’s why she suggests using Black Beans, Lentils, and other alternatives like Tempeh and Seitan to get your protein without the added baggage found in our meats. These protein options will also help you feel full.
