Dr Oz said he was going to play a version of The Dating Game. But instead of picking a man, the woman was going to pick the guilt-free comfort food she wants to have on a date tonight. She said her favorite show comes on, on Thursdays so she wanted to be able to sit down on the couch with her guilt-free comfort food and a glass of wine.

On the other side of the curtain were three guilt-free comfort foods, and based solely on the descriptions given to her as she asked questions, she had to pick one. The choices were Macaroni & Cheese, Chicken Pot Pie, or a Brownie Fudge Sundae.

The first guilt-free comfort food was described as creamy, warm, and tasty. As for what makes this comfort food guilt-free, it cuts back on the fat and calories, but not on the taste. It’s also made with some whole grains to throw in some extra fiber just for her.

She then asked, “After a long day at work, I want a comfort food that soothes my stress. How can you do that?” She was told the food would be hot and ready right out of the oven.

Dr Oz explained that all of the guilt-free comfort foods fit the calorie and nutritional guidelines for the Total Choice Plan, so she could pick whatever one she wanted. She chose comfort food number one, the mac and cheese! She was excited, saying she loves carbs.
