Dr Oz: Rapid Belly Melt
Dr. Oz started his show by asking his audience to lift up their shirts and take pictures of their stomachs. He explained that many people struggle with fat around their midsection and would love to find a way to get rid of it. He shared his rapid belly melt which included three ways to help people do so.
One woman shared the picture of her stomach and was asked what she would like to change about it. She responded by saying that she would like to slim her belly down so that her clothes fit smooth and she doesn’t have to buy extra clothes to cover it up.
Dr Oz: Forskolin Review Burns Fat Away
Dr. Oz’s first tip from his Rapid Belly Melt was to use Forskolin. He explained that Forskolin comes from the mint family and the way it works is that it burns fat from the inside, rather than the outside. Forskolin burns fat away so that muscle is all that’s left. It zeros in on the fat, not the muscle, leaving your stomach more toned.
A 12-week study was conducted on Forskolin that showed an increase in muscle mass, bone mass, and better testosterone levels. It helps with muscle and allows it to be preserved while getting rid of the fat, meaning that fat will stay off for longer.
The supplement is easy to find and he suggested taking 125 mg in the morning before you eat. But make sure your supplement has at least 10% forskolin.
Dr. Oz: Belly Fat Poke Test + “Carbage”
Another woman said she’s been trying her entire life to lose the fat around her stomach, saying that she eats so healthy and doesn’t understand what she’s doing wrong.
Dr. oz explained that there’s a specific kind of fat that he worries about the most; the fat around your waist. He suggested doing what he called the “belly fat poke test” in order to find your hidden fat. To do the test, take your right finger and place it just to the right of your belly-button. Firm up your belly muscles and poke your finger in to see how far your finger goes. If it is soft and squishy and half your finger disappears into your belly, that means you have subcutaneous fat, which is the fat just beneath the skin. If it is hard and less than a quarter inch of your finger goes into your belly, that means there’s fat hiding underneath the muscle. It’s that fat that is the toxic stuff; visceral fat that hides around the intestines.
One of the reasons for this excess fat is what Dr. Oz called “carbage”, which is junk carbohydrates. He explained that refined sugars and flours fuel this bad kind of fat and so in order to get rid of it, cut out the “carbage”.
Dr. Oz: Rapid Belly Melt Spices + Green Tea Lemonade
Dr. Oz shared another way to help control and take care of hidden fat: spices.
He explained that there are five spices that have been used to deal with illness for centuries and doctors are just now catching on. Cinnamon, cloves, oregano, cayenne, and turmeric are blood sugar stabilizing spices that when taken every day will help control your belly fat. Just a half teaspoon every day is all you need.
Lastly, Dr. Oz spoke with a woman who said “as a zumba instructor, I would like everything to be symmetrical.” In order to help her slim down and deal with the issue of belly fat, Dr. Oz suggested drinking his green tea lemonade daily.
He said that the antioxidants in green tea help encourage your body to get rid of fat cells and adding lemon juice supercharges the belly melting ability. By adding lemon to your green tea, you will pull out six times more antioxidants and chemicals that the green tea provides.
In order to make green tea lemonade, you must first make green tea and let it seep for 20 minutes to get the full benefit. The recipe is what Dr. Oz calls a “green Arnold Palmer”.

- 2 C green tea
- 1/2 lemon squeezed
- drink hot or cold
