Dr Oz: Emotional Eating
Dr Oz welcomed Jenny Hutt, host of the radio show Just Jenny to talk about what to eat for every emotion, to be sure that you’re eating the right things to help you feel better. Dr Oz pulled three women from his audience as well, to talk about foods you crave and foods you should be eating for every emotion.
Dr Oz: Healthy Potato Chips
First, Jenny shared that when she’s feeling anxious, she craves salty snacks like potato chips. She said the crunch of her potato chip is “ritualistic” and makes her stop thinking about what’s making her nervous. Dr Oz said to try microwave sweet potato chips instead. All you have to do is slice a sweet potato very thin, drizzle with olive oil, and then put them in the microwave for three minutes each side, before drizzling with sea salt.
Dr Oz: Healthier Chocolate Cake
When Jenny was happy, she liked to enjoy chocolate cake because it made her think about happy things. Dr Oz revealed that he made healthier chocolate cake using boxed cake mix, but instead of the egg, he replaced it with 1/2 a mashed banana, and instead of the cup of oil, he used 3/4 cup of plain Greek yogurt.
