Dr Oz Detox Shopping List
You’ll notice that most of the foods on Dr Oz’s list are fresh fruits and veggies. Julieanna Hever, one of Dr Oz’s experts, explained that these fresh ingredients are full of antioxidants to aid the liver and kidneys with flushing out your system.
Once the cleanse is over, Dr Mark Hyman suggested using these same foods as a “personal pharmacy” to help you enjoy their phenomenal health benefits. For his part, Dr Oz said everyone should be able to find these foods and ingredients at a grocery store. May I have coffee on 3day cleanse?
at 9:37 pm
Can I use agave nectar in place of stevia?
at 10:46 pm
Can’t wait to try what are the pre cleanse meals? And I think it will cost more than $19 cause I don’t have a lot of these ingredients. Any thoughts in where to get the vitamins and other items low cost??

I’m allergic to coconut. So what do I use in place of the coconut water and anything with coconut in it for this cleanse
at 3:32 am
Can’t wait to try your 3-day detox! Myself 53, my 82 year old mother, and my 27 year old daughter are going to do it together. I have just one question. My daughter is allergic to bannanas. What can she use instead?
at 10:51 am
I go to Walmart and get my probiotics, I use one (ran out don’t have the bottle) that has 20 billion and several strains, around $20. Sams Club or Cosco.
at 6:53 am
I am going to start my detox tomorrow. I enjoy and appreciate the information I get from the show. Thanks.

hi dr oz,
I am a diabetic with a high sugar level that has not been able to be controlled . I have been told that fruit is bad for diabetics although I do think I really need this detox . any suggestions?
at 8:30 am
i am allergic to cucumber what can i use instead thank-you Guy
at 4:45 pm
I am not sure that there is something you can “officially” replace the cucumbers with (since Dr Oz did not mention any alternatives). But generally speaking, the following are great ingredients for in green detox drink recipes: Spinach, chard, lettuce, basil, parsley, cilanto, kale, bok choy and celery. Perhaps try replacing the cucumbers with one of these? That is what I would try if I was allergic to cucumbers (but again, we are not doctors, and we can’t offer medical advice or what may or may not be best for individuals!).

Please let us know how it works out for you. Good luck!

I won’t lie and say I’m alergic to cucumbers. I just hate them. If I can’t taste them, I’ll drink it. If you can taste them, I need something to replace the cuces. Any suggestions? Really, I like everything else.
at 8:57 am
I did the cleanse yesterday. The cost of the ingredients were definitely more than $19 if you don’t have the ingredients on hand. The breakfast and dinner drinks taste pretty good. I could not drink the lunch shake because it was horrible. Questions are: can I eat celery separately? ; do we peel the cucumber? A 1/2 lime or the juice of 1/2 lime?
at 2:05 pm
Dear Dr, Oz, do I juice the lemons and limes or put them in the blender with their skins? Thanks, Eileen
at 11:26 am
I just came off the 3 day detox. Feel good.. Lost about 4 lbs
) I do not feel bloated or “Puffy” in my stomach.
at 11:48 am
That sounds pretty successful to me. Thanks for sharing your results!
at 10:23 am
I’m confused the Shopping list said Coconut Oil and the Lunch recipe said Coconut Milk.
at 11:22 am
@Deisi Montero: There is an error in the lunch shake recipe. It should be coconut OIL, not milk. This is to provide your body with EFA’s. Hope this helps. Cheers and good luck to all trying the cleanse!
at 1:14 pm
I want to start the Detox, but I’m not sure because of Nut allergies if not adding Almond milk will have any effect on the detox
at 1:25 pm
What is the lavender drops and the epson salt for
at 8:48 pm
For the detox bath. I started the detox yesterday and I’m not doing the baths.
at 10:41 am
Am starting day 3!!! have lost about 4 lbs. and feel great! Less bloated, less mucus and more energy and clarity! Love the bath, i sleep like a baby. I use a vitamix and that has made all the difference. so easy to blend all the ingredients , especially lunch, that so many are having trouble with.
at 10:14 am
On Day 3. Feel awesome! I couldn’t feel any arthritis in my knees this morning when I got out of bed for the first time in years. Stomach is DEFINATELY flatter. Lost 2-3 pounds. My nails are growing faster. The only thing is that I did three shakes per day, not 4. I am going to continue indefinitely!
at 4:27 pm
Just bought stuff to start. How much water should I drink between shakes, if any? Do I need to stay close to a bathroom?
at 12:09 am
what do I replace the coconut items with I ask again. Help
at 1:32 pm
Dr Oz did not recommend any alternatives for the ingredients used in the cleanse. Maybe someone else who tried the cleanse can offer their suggestions on substitutions.
at 2:48 pm
Where can I get the lavender drops. I have looked everywhere?
at 1:33 pm
Here is one source to find the lavender drops: http://www.amazon.com/NOW-Foods-Lavender-Oil-ounce/dp/B002N0PY8S/?tag=recapo-20

Have finished day 1. Dr. Oz could have been more clear on portion size and prep of veggies and fruits. Also drinking water with diet should have been added. Lunch drink definitely is the worst of the 3. Will make myself finish program simply because I spent much more on it than 16 dollars a day and I don’t want to waste it.
at 1:24 pm
Don’t look like there is much support on this web site. No answers ?
at 1:35 pm
We do try to answer your questions, but we can only share our opinions as fellow viewers and fans. We don’t work for or with Dr Oz, so we can’t offer medical advice.
With programs like the 3-Day Detox, sometimes the best answers come from other people who are going through the process, and we always love to hear people’s results.
Are you trying the cleanse, Curtis?
at 12:04 pm
I am on second day, yay so far, doing great.
at 2:17 pm
I’m very happy with the cleanse, however, purchasing everything for one person for three days certainly costs more than I thought it would. And that was after searching high and low for some of the products. I was frustrated with not finding very clear directions (or anything) on the Dr’s official web-site.
Both of my daughters (11 & 18) tried to do it with me. They didn’t last past the first lunch smoothie. I completed the three days and, beyond feeling great, I lost four pounds. Since I have so much left that my daughter’s didn’t use, I’m planning on doing it again M-W next week. It’s such a good way to get the nutrients that we need. Thank you to recapo.com for publishing the grocery list!

How often do we do this cleansing ?
at 11:01 am
The cost of everything was closer to $150.00. One day one. Let you know how it went at the end. Cheers!
at 3:42 pm
I thought that for dinner, anything on a regular meal is allowed, or just the drink…and for snack in afternoon, could not find what is recommended…help?
at 3:55 pm
Did the cleanse and lost 5 1/2 pounds and hubby lost 4!!!!! Food grade palm kernel oil was a good alternative for us when it came to the coconut oil, we couldn’t find coconut oil (living in the UK) anywhere!!! Also exchanged the kale with spinach for the lunch as it made it easier to manage AND peeled the cucumber – made for easy texture going down ;0) the detox baths were important in my opinion, I felt sluggish day 1 and 2 until I got out of the bath – day 3 was good all day and still enjoyed the bath!! Couldn’t find lavender oil so had to use a mint oil – eh still worked(soothing)!! I stuck to drinking 2 – 8 oz glasses of water between shakes except for after dinner… Hope this helps someone and good luck!!!! I will definitely try again and again!!! ;0)
at 3:58 pm
Eleanor – shakes for breakfast lunch and dinner. The snack shake is one of the shakes you had for bfast/lunch/dinner. Personally the bfast shake was the best to go with for a snack!!!
Also stay away from greasy BAD foods when ending the cleanse, it will destroy all your hard effort AND hurt the stomach :’/
at 3:59 pm
Also lavender drops at Walgreens and drugstore.com, I had family look for me at Walgreens and just found some at drugstore.com!
