Orthaheels Review: Dr Oz’s Flip Flop Avoids Plantar Fasciitis

Dr Oz: Flip-Flops Buying Guide

Summer is fast approaching, which means it’s time to plan those lazy days at the beach or relaxing by the pool. When it comes to summer footwear, the most popular choice is always the beloved flip-flop. Dr Oz wanted to get your summer off on the right foot, so he explained how certain flip-flops hurt your feet, causing issues such as Plantar Fasciitis. Plus, his Orthaheels Review explained how to pick better foot-friendly flip-flops.

Dr Oz: Orthaheels Review

Dr Oz explained what to look for in summer flip-flop footwear to maintain good foot health, including an Orthaheels Review.

Flip-Flops Cause Plantar Fasciitis

Renee admitted she has a flip-flop addiction, and she loves wearing these summer shoes everywhere she goes, whether it’s to the beach or just for a walk. She showed off her expansive collection of flip-flops, saying she tries to find pairs that match all her outfits so she can always be comfortable.

Dr Oz explained how most flip-flops are constructed, with two thin straps, a flimsy sole, and no arch support. The thin materials could make it easy for you to injure your foot, because if you step on something sharp, it’ll stab right through your thin sole.

Flip-flops could also change the way you walk, because they don’t support your arches. Foot bones need proper support from shoes, and average beach flip-flops don’t provide this. Instead of a strong arch, flip-flops are flat, which can tighten and tear the muscles in your foot. They can also cause problems such as Plantar Fasciitis, and repeated flip-flop problems can add up to big issues over time.

How To Shop For Foot Friendly Flip-Flops

Here are some tips for summer flip-flop shopping, so you can find shoes that will take good care of your feet.

  • Choose a thick sole, but avoid heels taller than 2”
  • Find a flip-flop with arch support, to avoid Plantar Fasciitis
  • Search for thick, wide thongs, to avoid chronic toe and foot problems
