Dr Oz: Natural Kitchen Remedies

If you are trying to clear up your health problems using natural remedies, you might be surprised about what you can do with products you already have lying around the house. Dr. Donnica Moore stopped by The Dr Oz Show to reveal the Kitchen Cures you need to know.

Dr Oz: Dandruff Spray: Apple Cider Vinegar

Do you have problem dandruff? Try this natural remedy to get it under control. In a spray bottle, mix equal parts Apple Cider Vinegar and water. Then spray this on the scalp and wrap your head with a towel.

Dr Oz: Kitchen Remedies

The natural solutions and remedies for your pain could already be in your home or kitchen, if you know what to look for, like Apple Cider Vinegar to get rid of dandruff.

Leave it on for about 15 minutes; then wash your hair. The acidic vinegar should break down the bacteria that causes Dandruff. For best results, do this for three consecutive days at first; then repeat it twice a week as needed.

Dr Oz: Pickle Juice for Muscle Cramps

Do you have persistent Muscle Cramps? Trying drinking 2.5 ounces of Pickle Juice when you feel it coming on. Dr Moore said there’s no research about whether this works for Menstrual Cramps, but it can’t hurt to give it a try.

Dr Oz: Licorice Stick Paste for Calluses

Licorice Sticks (not the chewy candy) can actually soften or break down your calluses. All you need to do is grind about four sticks and add ½ teaspoon of Sesame Oil to make a paste. Then rub this mixture on the Callus and cover it with a bandage, though you don’t want the bandage to be absorbent because it’ll soak up your paste.

You can even put a sock over it to keep it in place. Dr. Moore recommends doing this one at night for best results.

Dr Oz: Sage for Bad Breath

If you have Halitosis, also known as Bad Breath, Dr Oz said you can make it go away by chewing on Sage. This is full of Antibacterial Properties found in Essential Oils, which can fight your bad breath from the inside.

This is different from products that simply mask the odor, because Sage attacks the underlying causes of bad breath, while also treating Gingivitis.

Dr Oz: Lime Juice for Bug Bites

You can use a mix of Lime Juice and Water to treat Bug Bites. Take a cotton ball and apply this mix directly on the bit. It will neutralize the chemical reaction and also soothe the itching sting. Plus it lowers the risk for infection at the site of your bite.

Dr Oz: Raspberry Tea Fights Canker Sores

Tea drinkers will be happy to know yet another health benefit of their favorite beverage. Raspberry Tea is full of Flavonoids, which are anti-inflammatory and heal the body’s internal damage. Plus the tea contains acids that help with natural pain relief.
