Dr Oz: Change Skincare Regimens With the Seasons
Dr. Oz invited Dr. Debra Jaliman on the show to go over the best ways to transition your skin from winter to spring. She told Dr. Oz the transition from cold to warm and the constant weather changes can take quite a toll on your skin. She said the biggest mistake people make is not changing up their skincare regimen with the changing seasons.
She said in the winter most people apply too much moisturizer but since there is a layer of dead skin, the moisturizer sits on the dead skin and is unable to penetrate the skin. This is why you need to exfoliate to get rid of the dead skin. This allows the moisturizer to nourish your skin the way it is supposed too, which leaves your skin looking and feeling healthy.
Dr Oz: Sonic Cleansing System Review
Dr. Debra Jaliman recommended daily exfoliation of your skin to keep it looking as healthy as possible. She recommended using a Sonic Cleansing System. This product is like a toothbrush for the skin. It gently exfoliates the skin, removes dead bacteria and skin and leaves your skin looking healthier than ever.
Dr Oz: Chia Seed Face Scrub Recipe
Dr. Jaliman said if you want your skin to really glow, you need to perform a deep exfoliation once a week. This removes even more dead skin than the Sonic Cleansing System and it is actually a little cheaper to do because you could have all the products you need right in your own home.
Dr Oz Chia Seed Face Scrub Ingredients:
- ½ cup coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
Dr Oz Chia Seed Face Scrub Direction:
- Combine all the ingredients and apply to your face. Leave on for about two minutes then wipe your face with a clean cloth.
Dr Oz: Spring Moisturizer Must Contain SPF 30 Or Higher
After you have done a really good job exfoliating your skin you can moisturize it. Dr. Jaliman said it is important to use a different moisturizer than the one you have been using all year. Look for a moisturizer with the following:
- Look for moisturizer in a tube or a pump
- Make sure it contains hyaluronic acid
- SPF 30 or higher
