On Friday February 6, Dr Oz is “going red” to support heart disease awareness. He’ll start by sharing the alarming heart disease statistics, then share how you can dramatically lower your risk of having a heart attack. Then, keeping with the theme, he’ll share a “red hot” quick 10-minute workout that can help you burn fat.

Dr Oz: Women’s Heart Disease + Lower Heart Attack Risk

Dr Oz is all about the color red to show support for heart disease awareness. He’ll calling it a woman’s health crisis and he’ll explain the statistics that support that. He’ll also talk about the studies that show why heart disease is the number one killer of all women, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing you can do.

Dr Oz will explain how you “have the power to end heart disease” and even lower your risk of having a heart attack by almost 100%! Dr Oz: Red Super Foods

Continuing his red theme, Dr Oz will then go into the kitchens of his viewers to explain what super foods need to be there right now. He’ll discuss how red peppers and pomegranates can make a big difference when it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.


The great thing about those two super foods is that they not only taste great, but they’re easy to incorporate into your diet. I only hope that Dr Oz shares tips for removing the pomegranate seeds though, because it took me quite a while to get that down! Now I enjoy the juice-bursting seeds in all kinds of ways, whether plain or cozied up next to peanut butter on a sandwich. If you haven’t tried pomegranates yet, I highly suggest you do!

Dr Oz: 10-Minute Workout

Finally, Dr Oz will introduce his February Fitness Showdown, starting with a “red hot” workout that he says can blast fat in just 10 minutes. I’m pretty sure we can all set aside ten minutes for a quick workout that comes with so many benefits. Plus, Dr Oz is usually pretty good at showing various modifications so that anyone and everyone can participate!
