Dr Oz: BACtrack VS Alcohoot VS Breathometer
Tia Brown and Carolina Bermudez performed an experiment to find out just how well breathalyzer apps work. They each drank more than three glasses of wine before putting the BACtrack, Alcohoot, and Breathometer to the test. It turns out that two out of the three units tested well, but one didn’t. Dr Oz recommended you go with the BACtrack Mobile Pro or the Alcohoot, since the Breathometer didn’t seem to do too well. The BACtrack costs $99 and the Alcohoot cost $60.
That being said, it’s always important to avoid making a life or death decision, no matter what situation you’re in. You’re always much better using a designated driver or calling a cab. Never drink and drive, especially if you don’t feel comfortable enough to get behind the wheel.
