Dr Oz: Teeth Whitening & Home Remedies
Everyone wants to save money where they can. Good thing Dr Oz and his guests often talk about the best home remedies for common health problems and complaints. Find out how you can create your own Strawberry Baking Soda Whitening Toothpaste, how to prevent body odor, and Dr Oz’s Fenugreek Dandruff remedy from the show.
Patricia from the audience was the lucky volunteer for the first solution, which has to do with keeping those pearly whites both pearly and white. It’s not always easy, given the amount of coffee, soda, and other staining products we consume on a daily basis.
Dr Oz: Strawberry Baking Soda Whitening Toothpaste
Patricia and Dr Oz consulted with health expert Terri Trespicio, who shared her natural remedy for a whitening toothpaste. She said you can mix Baking Soda and fresh Strawberries to form a naturally whitening toothpaste.
It works because a natural acid in the Strawberries helps do the whitening. Brush your teeth with this mixture, and let it sit on your teeth for a few minutes before rinsing it away. Patricia was game to try it out, and she didn’t seem to mind the taste of it.
Dr Oz: Fennel Seed Bloating Remedy
Another woman from the audience complained to Dr Oz and Terri about her problems with bloating and gas, which get worse after meals and during a certain time of the month.
Terri’s solution for this is a spoonful of Fennel Seeds. Just chew them and let them go to work releasing the trapped gas from your digestive system and curing your discomfort.
Dr Oz: Apple Cider Vinegar Body Odor Remedy
Next, Terri and Dr Oz met Brie, who admitted she has terrible body odor, and she has yet to find the right deodorant to help fix her problem. Terri’s remedy in this situation is Apple Cider Vinegar. You can splash it under your arms, which should help to lower the ph balance of your skin.
Dr Oz said that despite the horrifically strong odor of Apple Cider Vinegar, the scent is absorbed into the skin, so you won’t stink the rest of the day. He said you should do this right after taking a shower.
Fenugreek Dandruff Remedy
Cynthia was next to bravely admit her embarrassing health issue on national TV. She complained about her dry and itchy scalp, which doesn’t seem to respond very well to Dandruff Shampoo.
Terri recommended a 2 tablespoon dosage of Fenugreek Seed. This can be mashed into a paste and then vigorously massaged into your scalp. She said you should leave it in for about an hour, and then rinse it using dandruff shampoo and finally a small amount of lime juice.
Dr Oz: Cold Sores Lemon Balm Remedy
Nancy wanted to know what she can do about her Cold Sores, which seem to be caused by everything from stress to sunlight.
Terri advised trying the Lemon Balm herb, which comes in various forms, including cream and ointment. She said you should apply it at the first sense that a Cold Sore is coming on.
This is also available as a tea, which you can apply to the sore using a cotton ball. As an added bonus, Lemon Balm Tea is a natural stress reliever.
