Dr Oz: Montel Williams Emotional Eating

Montel Williams, the iconic 1990s talk show host, has spent much of the last decade being open and honest about his personal health struggles. He returned to The Dr Oz Show to open up about a life-changing event that has affected his lifelong perception of Body Image. Plus, he shared Home Workout Advice, and Dr Oz learned about Summer Skin Care and Hair Color Maintenance.

Doctor Oz believes that many Americans also struggle with Emotional Eating, responding to feelings of sadness, stress, anger or even boredom by grabbing the nearest snack. Montel Williams shared some of his best solutions in the fight for health.

Dr Oz: Emotional Eating

Montel Williams gave Dr Oz some Emotional Eating remedies to help manage the emotions that trigger bad habits.

Dr Oz: Never Be Bored Kola Nut Infusion

In an online Dr Oz survey, about half of respondents reported they overeat due to boredom. Montel Williams shared a secret to beating boredom. He’s found positive results by using this product daily.

Never Be Bored Kola Nut Infusion is an extract that can be added to any beverage a few drops at a time. You could drink it straight, but Dr Oz gave it a shot and did not seem to be a fan. It’s also good on fruits like watermelon if you don’t want to mix it in your drink.

Dr Oz: Soothing Seed Combo

Anger is an emotion that makes us feel fired up. If you need to calm down and relax, Montel Williams recommends what he calls a Soothing Seed Combo. It’s a mixture of hemp and chia seeds. Hemp is a high protein fat burner, and Montel said he learned about chia seeds from Dr Oz. These seeds can be a good salad topper, or can be mixed in a favorite drink.

Who among us can’t complain about our stress levels? Dr Oz viewers also know that the stress hormone Cortisol can lead to belly fat. If stress is pushing you to overeat, your body is really going to feel the effects.

But Montel suggested a beverage you can mix up to lower your stress level when you need it.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons Raw Chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons Goji Berries, ground
  • 1 can Coconut Water

Mix these together and melt your stress away. Montel added that drinking two servings of Coconut Water daily can also help with wrinkles.

Dr Oz: Happy Hunger Chews Review

Still looking for more ways to avoid overeating or emotional eating? Montel also suggested the Happy Hunger Chews, which use Saffron to raise your natural Serotonin levels. He’s such a fan of this product that he agreed to be a spokesperson on the company’s behalf. Now he’s recommending that we try taking two each day.

Dr Oz had his research team check out these chews, and they found that the products seemed to work. He said they could be useful along with a healthy diet and exercise plan.
