Terri Trespicio, a lifestyle expert, said spring cleaning does not have to be an overwhelming task every year. She and Dr. Oz had some tips to help you supercharge your spring cleaning.

Set a timer: Trespicio said she sets a timer for 10 minutes and gets as much cleaning as she can done in that amount of time.

Toss your sponge: Toss all sponges if you can’t remember when you bought them. She suggested using old rags to clean everything since you can toss them in the washer when you finish.

Dr Oz Homemade All Purpose Cleaner Ingredients:

  • Distilled white vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Non-toxic dish soap
  • Essential oil

Dr Oz Homemade All Purpose Cleaner Directions:

  • Add equal amounts of water and vinegar to a spray bottle and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil.
  • Sprinkle baking soda and dish soap in your tub to form a paste. Allow it to sit for a bit, scrub and rinse down the drain.
