They have already gone over the foods you want to avoid to improve your health, as well as some recipes for “wet” foods that will burn some belly fat, and now they are going over “beauty fats” every person needs to eat to combat cellulite.

Dr. Oz hears a lot of complaints from women and one of the most common complaints he hears has to do with cellulite. Women want to get rid of cellulite but they don’t know how. According to Snyder, there are a number of different foods you can eat to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Dr. Oz looked a number of foods you can eat to help with thinning hair, age spots, dull skin and cellulite. He also explained what walnut meat is.

The first thing you need to understand to stop the cellulite is whet exactly cellulite is. Dr. Oz explained that cellulite is caused when fat cells expand and push to the surface of the skin.

Foods To Combat Cellulite

Cilantro: This herb actually attaches to toxins and helps to flush them out of the body, thus reducing the amount of cellulite.


Oat Groats: These are the natural, unprocessed version of oats. They are high in fiber, which keeps you full longer, and they also help prevent cellulite by forcing toxins from the fat cells out of the body for good.

Citrus Fruits: Fruits like grapefruit, lemons and oranges contain a high amount of vitamin C, which helps protect the collagen in your skin.

Dr Oz: Walnut Meat Recipe

Snyder said there are foods containing “beauty fats” that protect your skin from the signs of aging and keep it glowing. Try making her walnut meat recipe below.

Walnut Meat: This is a combination of chopped walnuts, which are high in Omega-3 fats, and a several spices. Dr. Oz said walnut meat will help to strengthen your skin and prevent it from sagging.

  • 2 cups walnuts, chopped in a food processor
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1/2 tablespoon coriander
  • 2 tablespoons tamari
  • pinch of cayenne pepper

Sunflower Seed Butter Reduces Age Spots

Women, especially older women, are always complaining to Dr. Oz about the appearance of age spots on their skin. Snyder said there is another beauty fat that can help improve skin and reduce the appearance of age spots all together.

Sunflower Seed Butter: This product is packed full of vitamin E and helps fight free radicals causing damage to your skin. Snyder suggested spreading sunflower seed butter on a celery stick a few times a week for a healthy snack.

Tahini Prevents Thinning Hair

While it may be pretty socially acceptable for a man to start losing his hair, no woman wants to look in the mirror and see her hair thinning out more than it should. Snyder said tahini can help thicken your hair.

Tahini: This paste-like food is simply sesame seeds that have been ground into a paste that is similar in texture to peanut butter. The fats found in tahini also help keep your follicles hydrated, which prevents them from falling out prematurely.
