Dr Oz: Look Thinner In Under A Minute
When you see someone with a beautiful body at the grocery store or on your daily commute, do you wonder how they stay looking so fit and trim? We don’t all have countless hours to spend at the gym each week, and spa treatments can really be expensive.
But there are some affordable, quick ways that we can make the best of our looks, according to Emmy Award winning makeup artist Melanie Mills. She visited Dr Oz to reveal how simply spray tanning can create the illusion that you are thinner.
Doctor Oz: Spray Tanning
“If you can’t tone it, tan it,” Melanie said, and she shared her product secrets for getting the job done. Spray Tans have become a popular trend in recent years, and even the cast of Dancing With The Stars takes advantage of this technique.
Americans will spend $600 million just this year on Spray Tanning and related products. But you can save some of that money by using inexpensive products to get great results at home.
Dr Oz: Professional Spray Tan Results
Tara wanted to look thinner and mask her cellulite. Her problem areas include her stomach and thighs. She also hoped to cover up some scarring. After Dr Oz showed everyone her before picture, Tara came out in a bikini looking slender and toned.
Melanie explained that visiting a tanning salon for a spray tan means having a technician spray multiple layers of tanning product onto your skin. She recommends exfoliating the skin in advance, because this will allow your tan to last longer.
She said you should be careful not to inhale the chemicals and fumes during your spray tan. (That’s comforting…don’t breathe or your tan will make you sick!)
Dr Oz: St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse & Applicator Mitt Review
The cost of a professional spray tan could have some people balking, which is why Melanie has found some products you can use to get the same effects at home for a fraction of the price.
Audience member Jennifer said she wants to go sleeveless for the summer, but she is self-conscious about the appearance of her arms. That’s why Melanie recommended the St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse and Applicator Mitt. You just spray the mousse onto the mitt, then rub it on your body in a circular pattern.
Dr Oz: Gleam Body Radiance Review
Melanie Mills created another product for the folks she works with on Dancing With The Stars. Gleam Body Radiance is a combination moisturizer, makeup, and glow product that can last up to two weeks.
Evelyn said she wants a slimmer face. To create this effect, you should apply your base foundation, then sculpt in your cheekbones and jaw bones using powder. This will create shadows and a more pronounced profile.
To complete the look, you can apply Gleam Body Radiance at the top of your cheekbone, using a sponge to blend it.
