Dr Oz: Body Types
What type of body do you have? Maybe an easier question to answer is, what area of your body would you most like to improve? Today, Dr. Oz revealed ways you can target your diet to focus on losing weight in specific problem areas.
If it’s true, I know this will be exciting news for some people. Dr. Oz mentioned that recent research is finding that changing just one meal in your daily diet can alter the way your body burns fat. You can use this knowledge to teach your body how and when to store fat.
According to Dr. Oz, these meals can help you start to change your body shape in as little as five days.
Dr Oz: Big Butt Body Type
Dr. Oz said that ⅔ of women have a large butt. However, there is some good news. Butt fat isn’t as hazardous to your health as belly fat, and it can actually help you fight off certain diseases. But it’s also the first place that pounds begin to appear if you gain weight.
Kelly Anne told Dr. Oz she has this body type, and she feels self conscious about it when she is out in public. She feels she would spend more time exercising if she had a smaller rear end, because she would be more comfortable wearing gym clothes.
One suggestion for people with this body type is that you can get a low impact workout by sitting on a firm chair.
Dr Oz: Red Clover Pasta Primavera Recipe
Dr. Oz told Kelly Anne about a Red Clover meal, which is low in fat, but higher in protein and carbohydrates.
- 1 cup Whole Wheat Pasta
- 2 cups Vegetables (canned or fresh)
- ⅔ cup Chicken Strips, cooked
- ⅓ cup Edamame
- 1 can Tomatoes
- 2 cups Red Clover Tea
- Boil the pasta until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Mix additional ingredients and serve with tea, the secret ingredient.
- Eat this meal once every day for five days.
Dr Oz: Big Belly Body Type
Are you among the 50% of women with big bellies? This is where stored fat can be dangerous, leading to consequences like Diabetes and Heart Disease. That’s because it is near vital organs like your heart.

Now here’s some good news. This is the easiest area of the body to lose weight. Even better, you can reduce your risk for Heart Disease by half if you lose just two inches from your gut.
Audience member Kelly said this is her body type, and her children tease her, saying that she looks like a marshmallow on a stick. It sounds like she has some ill-mannered children.
Dr Oz: CLA Belly Fat Busting Breakfast Recipe
To beat your belly fat, Dr. Oz recommended getting more Conjugated Lineolic Acid (CLA) at breakfast. This is found in items like eggs and cheese, as well as in a supplement form.
Tomatoes are a natural Diuretic, as well as a low calorie item. Combining this breakfast with a CLA supplement will help you burn fat, and Dr. Oz suggested making this your choice for a morning meal five days a week. He said it won’t make you hungry as you go through your morning.
- Whole Wheat English Muffin
- Olive Oil
- Poached Egg
- Swiss Cheese
- 1000 mg CLA supplement
- Toast the muffin and drizzle with Olive Oil.
- Layer the other ingredients and serve as a breakfast sandwich.
- Take with your supplement pills.
Dr Oz: Big On Top Body Type
Do you have big arms or a big chest? If so, they could be putting your heart at risk. This is especially true if you are under a lot of stress or don’t get enough protein in your diet.
Audience member Pamela said she is uncomfortable giving and receiving hugs because of her big size. She said she has to avoid certain tops so she won’t draw attention to her arms. She won’t even swim in her own pool.
Sadly for Pamela and many others, Dr. Oz said it’s very difficult to lose weight from this area of the body. But he did have a suggestion.
Dr Oz: Tex Mex Salad Recipe
For this body type, Dr. Oz suggested an L-Carnitine supplement with lunch. It could boost the metabolism, and it includes dairy. I’ll take any excuse to eat sour cream.
The L-Carnatine supplement works by stimulating your natural growth hormone, turning on the process that burns fat. He suggested pairing this with Vitamin C for five days.
- 3 cups Baby Spinach
- ½ cup Black Beans
- ¼ cup Red Onions, sliced
- ½ cup Corn
- ¼ Avocado, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. Low Fat Sour Cream
- ½ cup Salsa
- Combine ingredients in a bowl.
- Serve as a salad for lunch.
- Be sure to take the L-Carnatine supplements Dr. Oz mentioned.
Dr Oz: Big Thighs Body Type
According to Dr. Oz, the fat on your thighs isn’t doing anything for you; it’s not even being stored for future use. It also makes it hard to get into your favorite pair of jeans sometimes.
Just ask Christine, who’s lost 40 pounds, all of it above the waist. She can’t seem to get her thighs in shape, and Dr. Oz confirmed they’re the last area where you’ll lose weight, but it is possible to do so. One tip he mentioned is adding a teaspoon of Cinnamon to your diet daily, to help regulate blood sugar.
