Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth. That’s it. It works because the tongue warms up the nerves in the affected area, which calms the reaction and in turn reduces your pain.


Dr Oz: Charlie Horse Remedy

Maria was next, and she complained that she often gets Charlie Horses, those annoying muscle cramps and spasms we all hate. These are caused by either dehydration or an imbalance of electrolytes in the body.

The best thing you can do in the moment is to massage the area. In general, make sure your diet includes plenty of Potassium from fresh foods Bananas, Apricots, and Tomatoes.

How To Pop Your Ears

Carla also had a complaint for Dr Oz: her ears always pop. Dr Oz told her not to worry that this is abnormal. He said the solution is opening the ear canal. Chewing gum is one remedy that can help some people.

You can also try Dr Oz’s plan to pop your ears:

  1. Pinch your nose.
  2. Take a breath. Close your mouth and push the air toward your ears.
  3. If one ear pops before the other, stick a finger in that ear.
  4. Blow again to pop the other ear.
