Tia Brown explained that clutter can be a sign that you’re stuck. It can also be a sign of attachment and an inability to move forward and be happy. Being stuck means you’re anxious and stressed. If you want to make a change for the better, you have to be willing to let some things go.

Dr Oz wanted everyone to look at the physical things in their lives a little differently. Expensive purchases like designer items, shoes and bags could be a personal sign of success, while material things like makeup or electronics may be things we’ve bought to achieve happiness. Personal possessions give us security, but all of those put together create clutter, which causes stress and possibly even over-eating and anxiety. De-cluttering can help give you mental clarity, more energy, and control.
