60 Minutes: Russian Pussy Riot Music Protest & Nile Crocodiles Study

60 Minutes on March 24 2013 will catch up with Russian musical group Pussy Riot after retaliation for their 2012 protest and spend time studying African Nile crocodiles.

The punk protest band Pussy Riot found themselves at odds with Russian authorities for holding a rally calling for the overthrow of the country’s president, Vladimir Putin. The 2012 demonstration made headlines and went viral online. It eventually led to a trial and two members of the band were imprisoned. Two others escaped and are in hiding, but one of them is coming out of the shadows to talk with 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl.

The women of the group set out to make their voices of dissent heard against Putin’s leadership in Russia, but the government did not take their message as constructive criticism. Though they sometimes get their point across in a vulgar way, band members say that they advocate for a peaceful overthrow of the country’s current regime.

It is a dangerous mission, but some scientists have spent nearly two decades studying the enduring predators in hopes of helping to preserve their lineage for the future.

See what it is like to dive with dangerous predators, and what drives the people who pursue this passion, on 60 Minutes. If you miss the show, be sure to check back for a recap after the broadcast.

60 Minutes: NFL Hopeful Brian Banks

Brian Banks has a dream of playing football in the NFL. But Banks told 60 Minutes that he knows his dream may be out of reach.
