60 Minutes: Michael Lewis Rigged

60 Minutes: Michael Lewis Books, Marcus Roberts Jazz & Elon Musk Tesla

60 Minutes will examine three men who have been a part of American culture in the worlds of nonfiction, engineering, and jazz music on March 30.

Author Michael Lewis knows very well how to tell a true story. He is a bestselling author whose works have been adapted into popular films, and they all have their roots in true life. He is the author behind popular books-turned-movies like Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game and The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game.

Next week, he will unleash his latest book, during which he once again takes a hard look at the financial industry, as he did in titles published in 2010 and 2011. This one is called Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt, and it tells the tale of how a group of investors performing high speed trading was discovered through unlikely means. Steve Kroft shares the story during Sunday’s 60 Minutes.

60 Minutes: Elon Musk Fast Cars

It’s a trope of American boyhood to be fascinated with machinery. For a certain type of young person, the preoccupation with how things work can lead to hours of self-education and amusement. For a lucky few, it can also pave the way to a career in those childhood loves.

Elon Musk is one such innovative young person who has explored emerging frontiers throughout his career. From the early days of Paypal to literally exploring space through one of his companies, Musk has never been shy about investing time and money in his interests.

One of those is Tesla Motors, a maker of electric cars. But the man is full of ideas, so who knows what might happen next? Watch a 60 Minutes report by Scott Pelley on March 30 to learn more.

60 Minutes: Virtuoso Marcus Roberts Jazz Music

Jazz musician Marcus Roberts has quite the story. He was born blind but was so inspired by the music of America that he overcame this hurdle and provided powerful inspiration to a generation of jazz performers. Wynton Marsalis is sharing a report on Roberts for Sunday’s edition of 60 Minutes.
